Filipino Migrant Center 15th Anniversary Gala
Magkaisa at Lumaban: Rooted in Justice, Rising for Change
Our 2025 has been a milestone year of growth as we celebrate worker campaign victories, continue to expand our services and programs, and opened the doors to our community center in West Long Beach for more community programming. We remain active in campaigns to defend migrants, end wage wage theft, stop anti-Asian hate, and protect immigrant and workers rights. Through the generosity of the community and our rapid response efforts, we were able to support victim of the L.A. wildfires through our Emergency Services Fund and community-driven donation drives. We work to build power, develop people’s leadership, and have a united Filipino community working together towards change.
All funds raised will go towards FMC’s services and programs as we continue to grow the capacity of our organization to serve the Filipino community across Southern California.
Looking back at some of our past anniversary celebrations…
As we get ready to celebrate 15 years of building immigrant power in Southern California, let’s take a walk down memory lane and see some of our past celebrations.
From 2011-2019 we held galas to bring people together, but in 2020 we celebrated our 10th anniversary with a virtual gala due to the COVID-19 pandemic. In the years following, our format changed to outdoor community events such as block parties & resource fairs, as well as an adobo cook-off fundraiser.
Regardless of the format, the feedback we always hear is that it feels like one big Filipino family party! We want to continue that same spirit this year on October 25th!
